Dubai’s iconic technology event, which has been a staple for over four decades, is set to make its European debut in Berlin in May 2025. The event, christened ‘GITEX Europe 2025’, will be orchestrated by Dubai World Trade Center’s subsidiary, KAOUN International, in partnership with Messe Berlin.
Announcing the expansion on his LinkedIn profile, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, emphasized GITEX’s stature as the world’s premier technology exhibition. He also highlighted Dubai’s unwavering commitment to global collaboration and innovation.
This move follows the successful launch of Gitex Africa in Marrakech, Morocco in 2023, which was hailed as the world’s top tech event debut. With its ventures in Africa and now Europe, GITEX Global is positioning itself as the pivotal link between the future economies of Dubai, Africa, and Europe.
H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, drew parallels between Berlin and Dubai, noting that the move to Berlin is a testament to Dubai’s ability to showcase the brightest minds from the region on a global stage. He expressed optimism about GITEX Europe becoming Europe’s leading tech event.
The decision to introduce GITEX Europe in Germany, Europe’s economic powerhouse, stems from the growing global demand for GITEX and the shared vision of digital transformation, innovation, and fostering public-private tech partnerships.
