First Production from the Belbazem Offshore Block is Announced by Adnoc.

Adnoc’s announcement on Tuesday of the commencement of crude oil production from its Belbazem offshore block demonstrated the company’s dedication to sustainably supplying the world’s expanding energy needs.

Al Yasat Petroleum, a partnership between Adnoc and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), runs the Belbazem offshore block. Adnoc’s creative approach to building the block uses digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI), and operational synergies with neighboring fields to improve safety and efficiency while cutting costs and emissions.

“The start of crude oil production from the Belbazem offshore block is testament to the success of our strategic partnership with CNPC and the robust bilateral energy relationship between the UAE and China,” stated Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, Executive Director of Adnoc Upstream. Adnoc is committed to maximizing the value of Abu Dhabi’s resources while lowering its carbon footprint to provide domestic and global consumers with a safe, dependable, and ethical energy supply.
