Etihad Starts Flying the Airbus A380 Between Abu Dhabi and New York.

Arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday, Etihad Airways flight EY1 from Abu Dhabi to New York marked the beginning of the airline’s A380 double-decker service, which features The Residence, the renowned and opulent three-room suite in the sky.

We’re thrilled to introduce our A380 experience to New York and are confident that our guests will enjoy the amazing onboard journey,” stated Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.

Adding the A380 to the well-traveled New York route aligns with our plan to grow our network and satisfy rising customer demand. It occurs only three weeks after we opened our fourth US gateway, a new route to Boston, highlighting our dedication to supporting and expanding the North American market.”

With the A380, Etihad’s capacity in the crucial US market is significantly increased, and it now has easy access to the Indian subcontinent and the wider Middle East.

It will also be more straightforward to draw more tourists to Abu Dhabi because to the increased capacity.

Etihad will use an A380 for one of its two daily flights to New York and a 787-9 for the other, with First, Business, and Economy class accommodations.
