Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed has Approved the Plans for the Biggest Airport in the World.

The Honorable Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approved the designs for the new passenger terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport, which will be the biggest in the world when it opens. He also reviewed the strategic plan of the Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects.

The new terminal, which is expected to be constructed for Dhs128 billion ($34 billion), will eventually allow the airport to handle 260 million passengers annually.In addition to Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

With a capacity of up to 260 million people, Al Maktoum International Airport will have the most significant capacity in the world. In the upcoming years, all operations at Dubai International Airport will be moved to this new airport, which will be five times larger than it currently occupies.

He said the airport will have five parallel runways and 400 airplane gates. The aviation industry will be the first to use new aviation technologies.

When we develop a whole city in Dubai South surrounding the airport, a million people will need accommodation. His Highness continued that the top businesses in the world for air travel and logistics will be based there.
