Dubai Police Honor Salama Bint Mohammed

Sheikha Salama Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum was awarded Dubai Police’s “Shield of Happiness” in appreciation of her services to the advancement of the K9 Security Inspection Department.

The shield was handed during the K9 Conference’s inaugural ceremony, which took place as part of the third edition of the World Police Summit on March 5 – 7, 2024.

Sheikha Salama’s assistance to the Dubai Police K9 Security Inspection Department in obtaining rare police dog breeds for specialized security operations, as well as enhancing Dubai Police’s capabilities with over 1900 hours of advanced joint training for handlers and dogs in collaboration with Sahara Kennel, has helped the department improve its operational efficiency.

In his introductory remarks, Major Salah Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Director of the K9 Security Inspection Department at Dubai Police, emphasized the importance of previous K9 Conferences in fostering breakthroughs in security inspection and the use of police canines. He noted that this year’s conference would focus on the use of police dogs in search and rescue operations during natural and humanitarian disasters.
