Dubai: At the Airshow, a $1 million Duty Free draw goes to the Swiss.

At the draw held on Wednesday at the Dubai Airshow venue in Dubai World Central, a Swiss national was named as the most recent US$1 million winner in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire.

With ticket number 3625, which he bought online on October 31, 65-year-old Zug, Switzerland resident Hugo Truetsch became the most recent $1 million winner in Millennium Millionaire Series 440.

Truetsch, who has been a frequent participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for a decade, is a director at an asset management company and a parent of one child.

“It’s one of the best promotions, and I love taking part in it. He exclaimed, “Thank you Dubai Duty Free; you have made my day.”

After the Millenium Millionaire campaign began in 1999, Truetsch is the fourth Swiss national to have won $1 million.

Chief operating officer of Dubai Duty Free Ramesh Cidambi, vice president of marketing Sinead El Sibai, vice president of human resources Mona Al Ali, vice president of retail Michael Schmidt, vice president of loss prevention and corporate security Zayed Al Shebli, and vice president of human resources service delivery Yousef Al Khalid oversaw the Wednesday Millennium Millionaire draw.
