Dubai is the first ME city to be ranked in the top 10 of the Global Power City Index for 2023.

ArabNews

The Global Power City Index (GPCI) 2023, a prominent and globally recognized league table published by the Mori Memorial Foundation’s Institute for Urban Strategies in Japan, places Dubai among the top 10 cities.

With this new ranking, Dubai becomes the first Middle Eastern metropolis to receive this esteemed international distinction.

Dubai moved up three spots to rank seventh overall in the 2023 ranking, which compares major cities based on their “magnetism,” or ability to draw in investors, people, and businesses. Dubai’s leadership’s vision and the people’s combined resolve have made it possible for the city to achieve this and solidify its status as a premier global city.

The progress of Dubai in the Global Power City Index 2023, according to Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, is a reflection of the committed efforts made to realize the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, which is to achieve top global positions in various vital sectors and establish Dubai as the best city in the world to live and work in.
