DLD Completes 647 Dhs1.38 Billion Real Estate Settlements

In the first half of 2024, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) completed 647 amicable real estate settlements valued at over Dhs1.38 billion. 100% of the settlement agreements submitted through the Oqoodi Platform service were approved, allowing real estate settlements to proceed more quickly. This accomplishment has improved the efficiency of handling disagreements and given rise to a secure and trustworthy way to verify and formally record each party’s consent to the terms.

The Dubai Land Department is a helpful tool for developers and investors, committed to resolving property disputes amicably and peacefully. DLD has skilled and knowledgeable legal professionals who can handle agreements between parties, protecting their rights with targeted consultations and meticulous dispute analysis.

This strategy helps quickly and effectively resolve issues without using the courts, preserving goodwill and reducing the time, effort, and costs of legal proceedings. To guarantee complete compliance, the department also formally records agreements, giving developers and investors more confidence and encouraging continued collaboration. The Legal Support Section Manager of the Dubai Land Department, Abdullah Al Zarooni, stated that peaceful resolutions highlight the crucial part DLD plays in promoting peace via the Oqoodi Platform.
