Youth leaders at COP28... strong presence to protect the planet

GulfNews

Even though the repercussions of climate change are still being felt worldwide, the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) is seeing a notable presence of young leaders who can effectively contribute to sustainable development and lessen the effects of climate change.

In order to enable youth to effectively contribute to the protection of the world and its natural resources, as well as the preservation of humanity’s future, it is imperative that we activate youth’s involvement in climate action and give them with the essential tools.

Young leaders’ attendance at COP28 activities demonstrates the seriousness with which different nations have committed to empowering youth via the introduction of projects and programs that seek to involve them in sustainable development efforts in order to contribute to the creation of a brighter tomorrow.

Young international leaders are actively engaged in a variety of events, conversations, and sessions at COP28 in order to strengthen their position in the fight against climate change and to pave the way for the voice of future sustainability leaders.

By encouraging young people to get involved in climate action, the UAE is leading by example. It has worked to develop and train them to be capable of taking on the challenges and effects of climate change and creating a future that supports everyone’s goals and aspirations.
