CEO of an Indian startup detained after 4-year-old son's body was discovered in luggage

Police stated on Tuesday that the CEO of an AI business based in India has been detained on suspicion of killing her four-year-old son, whose body was discovered in her suitcase.

Head of The Mindful AI Lab in Bengaluru, India’s IT powerhouse, Suchana Seth, was arrested when the body was discovered in her luggage. At the same time, she was being held in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka state while returning by cab from the neighboring state of Goa.

Since Seth was in custody, she was unable to get in touch with her, and the police stated they were unsure of her legal representation at this time. Her company’s employees could not be reached for comment.

Goa police inspector Paresh Naik stated that although Seth had checked into a hotel with her son on Saturday, the boy was not present when she checked out on Monday night.

After she checked out, the hotel cleaning staff discovered bloodstains in the room and notified the authorities, Naik continued. The cab driver added that after police called him, they instructed him to drive Seth to the closest police station.
