Canadian Expatriate Wins Monthly Prize for 25 Years in UAE Lottery

uae dirham

A Canadian expatriate living in the UAE, Robert Burkovski, has struck fortune by winning a monthly income of Dh25,000 for a quarter of a century in the Emirates Draw’s EASY6 game. Burkovski, who moved to the UAE 18 months ago for business and a lifestyle change, won the grand prize by playing a set of numbers that included occasional random selections by his children.

Rather than planning any lavish expenditures, Burkovski intends to use the winnings for everyday expenses such as housing, groceries, and his children’s activities, seeking to enhance his family’s comfort. The prize, a legal commitment from Emirates Draw, will be disbursed in monthly installments over the next 25 years.

A 54-year-old consultant, Burkovski’s journey to this win in the UAE echoes his past experience with similar games in Canada. He started participating in the Emirates Draw intermittently since last year and was informed of his grand victory through an email. Despite the win, he plans to continue participating in the draw.

Burkovski is the fourth person to claim the FAST5 grand prize in less than six months since the game’s introduction.
