All to include Dhaid, Kalba, and Khorfakkan in 'Healthy Cities'.

The Executive Committee for Expanding the Scope of Healthy Cities in Sharjah met for the third time on Thursday, May 23, at the Sharjah Health Authority headquarters to discuss the most recent developments and progress in the implementation of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Healthy City program.

Dr. Abdelaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and Executive Committee for Expanding the Scope of Healthy Cities in the Emirate of Sharjah, has called for concerted efforts to expand the Healthy Cities programme to include the cities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, Al Dhaid, and other emirate cities in the future.

During the Executive Committee meeting, Dr. Al Muhairi reviewed the Sharjah Executive Council’s decision to expand the geographical scope of the Healthy Cities Programme to include the Emirate’s major cities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid.

Dr. Al Muhairi stated that the Emirate of Sharjah is working hard to provide the highest levels of services and health standards to ensure the well-being.The Sharjah Health Authority head called for forming coordination committees for each of the three cities and organising interactive and in-person workshops to train committee members to work on meeting the WHO criteria and standards in accordance with the highest levels of quality.
