After rumors about its stance on the "conflict in the Middle East," McDonald's UAE explains

After rumors about The well-known American consumer brand McDonald’s Corporation said in a statement on Thursday that it is “dismayed by the disinformation and inaccurate reports regarding (its) position in response to the conflict in the Middle East.”

McDonald’s UAE firmly declared on Instagram that “McDonald’s Corporation is not funding or supporting any governments involved in this conflict, and any actions from our local Developmental Licensee business partners were made independently without McDonald’s consent or approval.” The statement was posted in both Arabic and English.

McDonald’s added on, “We are supporting the communities in which we operate and doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of our people in the area.”

In contrast, McDonald’s UAE is a locally owned business that is managed by Emirates Fast Food Company LLC.

McDonald’s UAE stated in a previous post on October 14th, “We are deeply saddened by the events in the region.” Additionally, McDonald’s UAE is giving Dh1 million to Emirates Red Crescent in support of their “Tarahum for Gaza” initiative in response to the continuing crisis in Gaza.

We are grateful that you are a member of the UAE’s McDonald’s family. The business continued, “We look forward to serving you in the future and helping our cherished neighborhood succeed.
