RIYADH: According to a top J.P. Morgan official, Saudi Arabia’s investment landscape is well-positioned for prosperity, driven by its debt and stock markets.
Omar El-Amine, head of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan Saudi Arabia, talked with Arab News during the Saudi Capital Market Forum in Riyadh and offered his thoughts on the Kingdom’s increasing attraction to investors. He emphasized that the Kingdom’s widespread socioeconomic change and regulatory adjustments are the main factors contributing to its popularity abroad.
El-Amine stated: “Saudi Arabia is a top-down, long-term structural story underpinned by socio-economic transformation and the execution of a number of regulatory reforms that help to promote Saudi Arabia globally. Saudi Arabia stands out as an exciting, compelling investment story for our regional or global investors.”
El-Amine cited the stock market as an unmistakable sign of the Kingdom’s thriving business sector and its broad and varied economy.
He underlined that the robust economic growth of Saudi Arabia is reflected in the country’s debt and equity markets, and that the country’s initial public offerings have served as a significant driver of hope for the future.
