Abu Dhabi Starts a Campaign to raise Awareness about Unauthorized Street Vendors.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, acting on behalf of the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, has launched an extensive awareness campaign to increase public understanding of preventing the unauthorized sale of a range of goods.

The campaign also emphasizes the drawbacks of doing business with unauthorized street sellers. The community, property owners, businesses, and retail establishments are the targets of the campaign, which covers all sub-municipality-related topics.

The Municipality emphasized the community’s responsibility to lessen harmful patterns jeopardizing public safety and health.

It made clear that the community and customers could be in danger from unlicensed selling by organizations and individuals as the products are not subject to regulatory or health standards that guarantee their quality and safety.

As a result, Abu Dhabi City Municipality strongly advises all members of the public and civil society organizations to refrain from doing business with street vendors and to limit their purchases to malls and stores that have received the proper approval and authorization from the recognized official authorities.

To increase community responsibility for this phenomenon, the campaign concentrated on conducting field awareness campaigns through specialized work teams.
