Abdullah Preside over the G20 Steering Committee's Second Meeting

The second meeting of the G20 Steering Committee, which is in charge of the UAE’s participation in the 2024 G20, was presided over by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Using video conferencing, ministers and representatives from several state agencies participating in G20 work groups attended the meeting. Participants discussed the UAE’s participation in future ministerial meetings and reviewed the nation’s continued role as a guest in the G20.

The UAE’s commitment to multilateral cooperation is reflected in Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed’s praise for the efforts of the parties tasked with representing the country in the G20, emphasising the value of active participation in all facets of the Group’s work. In the context of his nation’s G20 participation, he emphasised the value of cooperation and highlighting national accomplishments.

It is the UAE’s fifth time overall since the Group’s founding to be attending the G20 as a guest, and its third year in a row. The meeting, held via video conference, was attended by ministers and representatives from various state agencies involved in G20 work groups.
