1,166 tonnes of urgently needed food supplies are being transported on board.
Together with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the departure of a fresh aid shipment to the Gaza Strip, which will bring 1,166 tonnes of critically needed food supplies.
The new relief ship was organized in cooperation with the Agency, through joint efforts with the USA, Cyprus, the United Nations, and various international donors, including the European Union. It was dispatched about two weeks after another consignment.]
In collaboration with American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), the ship sailed from Larnaca Port in Cyprus to the Port of Ashdod and then entered the Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun crossing.
In an effort to alleviate the dire humanitarian conditions that the people of the Gaza Strip are facing, the UAE is continuing to collaborate with its international partners to step up efforts to guarantee the flow of aid, its arrival, and its distribution through all channels.
