At the gateway to Al Dhaid in Sharjah, a mosque featuring a spectacular glass ball for a dome was just unveiled. A kind donor bore the full cost of this exceptional architectural treasure.
Although a large portion of the project has already been finished, the mosque is currently being built.
The mosque’s modern minaret has a unique spiral shape that gives the impression that it is extremely tall. The glass sphere where believers assemble for prayers is next to it.
The geometric designs of the glass sphere cast reflections on the walls and floor, giving the inside of the mosque an air of spaciousness and good lighting. An imposing Quranic inscription, Ayat al-Kursi, near the gateway lends an air of grandeur to the scene.
A number of people expressed their enthusiasm for the mosque’s beauty and architecture in a video that Sharjah TV posted on their official Instagram account.
