As the cricketing giants India and Australia gear up for a showdown at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the ICC World Cup 2023 final, fans can also look forward to a spectacular closing ceremony. The International Cricket Council has lined up a series of captivating events to draw the curtain on the thrilling tournament.

The festivities will kick off with a high-flying air show by the Indian Air Force at 12:30 pm. Flight commander Sidesh Kartik and his team, known as the Suryakiran Acrobatic Team, will showcase a breathtaking 10-minute aerial performance set to a musical backdrop.

At the innings interval, scheduled for 5:30 pm, cricket legends from past World Cup victories will take center stage in a ‘Champions Parade.’ Icons such as Sir Clive Lloyd, Kapil Dev, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni will grace the event, reminiscing the glory of their triumphs. This nostalgic march will be coupled with a montage of historic moments and the evolution of the World Cup trophy. Each captain will be honored with a special blazer, courtesy of the BCCI.

Following the parade, acclaimed music director Pritam and a troupe of over 500 dancers will deliver a stirring musical spectacle.

As the game progresses, fans will be treated to a 90-second light and laser extravaganza during the second innings’ drinks break around 8:30 pm.

To cap off the night, a dazzling fireworks display will illuminate the sky. In a groundbreaking finale, 1200 drones will form an aerial champions board, a novel way to crown the World Cup winners.

This carefully choreographed closing ceremony promises to be an unforgettable send-off, celebrating the spirit of cricket and the memorable moments that have unfolded over the past six weeks.
