UAE Disputes Rumors: Storm Not yet Done; Heavy Rain still Hitting Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The National Centre of Meteorology has disputed rumors that the surface depression has ended, stating unequivocally that these rumours are false This news is not true. The surface depression still afflicts the country. “We are currently experiencing heavy rain in Abu Dhabi and Dubai,” said weather forecaster Maha Al Hashemi from the National Centre of Meteorology on the ‘Direct Line’ programme.

Al Hashemi also offered a report on current weather conditions, noting the presence of grey clouds around the country and intermittent rains of variable intensity. Lightning and thunder have also been seen infrequently.

According to the meteorologist, cloud cover is forecast to progressively decrease throughout the night and Sunday morning, with cloud activity most probable in the country’s eastern and southern regions.

In response to questions about when the surface depression is expected to disperse, Al Hashemi stated, “It is expected to begin clearing by Monday morning, subject to prevailing weather conditions.”
