We recently had the privilege of having a conversation with Dariush Soudi, a seasoned entrepreneur and the Founder of ARENA. Due to his wide range of experiences and obstacles in life, Soudi was able to create distinctive business strategies that ultimately led him to found ARENA.
With an intense client-centric approach, Dariush Soudi’s company is focused on continuous innovation and recruiting and developing future industry leaders, setting a high bar in the field of consultancy. In this insightful interview, Dariush shares his visions on joining this industry, challenges, common myths, plans for his company, and encouraging collaboration, while offering some valuable suggestions for beginners.

We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to start your professional journey in this field?”
Dariush responded, “Since I was a young boy, I’ve known I wanted to be successful in business, to be the best and have the best. I was always ambitious and recognized that taking risks was critical to success. I was naturally drawn to sales and entrepreneurship; this was the path I chose, which matched perfectly with my risk-taking mindset. Since my teenage years, I’ve dedicated myself to studying people I admired in business, learning invaluable lessons from their successes and mistakes.
Continuous learning has undoubtedly shaped my approach to business and leadership and resulted in me building a portfolio of companies in the UK and later in Dubai, where I created my sales consultancy business.
After a couple of years in Dubai, I knew I wanted to expand my business portfolio, and for three years, I kept questioning how to achieve this. An opportunity to meet with Muhammed Ali inspired me to create ARENA Capital, our family-run consultancy and venture capital group, the region’s most respected advisory firm for services in the sales and marketing industry.”

We were eager to have a greater insight into Dariush Soudi and his company. So, we asked, “Could you tell us more about yourself and your business?”
He replied, “Well, I’m a seasoned entrepreneur. My journey in the business world spans over 40 years, during which time I’ve owned and lost various companies, made and lost millions, and made my fortune once again. I’ve experienced and overcome many challenges, and my extensive life experience has enabled me to develop unique business techniques refined through the years based on my successes and failures.

“A common misconception is that success, especially financial wealth, comes quickly and easily- it doesn’t. Consistent hard work, strategic planning, setting goals and taking constant action to achieve them, and a growth mindset coupled with resilience and innovation are crucial to success and the only way to achieve what you want.” He asserts.
Adaptability Amidst Adversities
Every business journey will inevitably include difficult times; what matters most is how to get through them. So, we inquired, “What has been the major challenge in your business? How did you overcome it?”
Dariush responds, “One of the significant challenges in my business has been assembling the right team. Having the right people is crucial in any organization, especially as dynamic and growth-oriented as ours. This challenge has come from the need to find individuals who aren’t just skilled but also align with our core values and ambitions.
I’ve adopted a strategy to overcome this challenge by hiring ‘superstars’ – people who are constantly hungry and driven to succeed and progress and are prepared to take necessary actions to achieve their goals. These people don’t just work for the sake of working but are motivated by a desire to excel and propel themselves and the company forward.
In our hiring process, we look for values essential to our business culture, including hard work, urgency, clear communication, trust, and gratitude. My staff share our commitment to setting and maintaining the highest standards for themselves and our clients. Creating such a team hasn’t been easy, but the results have been gratifying.”

He continued, “I’ve dedicated my life to sharing my knowledge and experiences to help others and educating people on achieving wealth in life, love, and health. Dariush responded, “Collaboration and teamwork are integral to our ethos. We achieve this through a culture that emphasizes clear and open communication and understanding, ensuring everyone is aligned and can share ideas freely; this is important as trust is a massive part of our team dynamics.
For example, training for the entire team takes place every week designed so that each department understands the responsibilities and challenges of the others. We also have a meeting every morning where we discuss an aspect of life coaching; everyone participates in sharing their experiences and expressing their opinions.
