Winter Returns to the UAE with Thunderstorms, Rainbows, and Brisk Breezes.

Due to the unstable weather expected to last till Tuesday, most of the UAE saw heavy rain, lightning, and thunder on Sunday. While severe rains fell on Al Ain City and Abu Dhabi and rains of varied intensities fell on Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, heavy rains with lightning and thunder fell on Al Jazeera Border Guard, Bida Al Mutawa, and Sabkhat Matti in the Al Dhafra Region.

At 07:15 a.m. UAE local time, Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius, while Jebel Mebrah recorded the second lowest temperature of 8 degrees Celsius.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) advised drivers to avoid deep puddles and flooded valleys and to drive carefully in the rain.

In the meantime, given the upcoming rainy and unpredictable weather, Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to exercise caution and follow safe driving guidelines. Additionally, they advised them to follow the various speed limits, refrain from tailgating and quickly using the brakes, slow down when turning, and pull over to the side of the road in the event of low horizontal visibility.
