Australia won the U19 Cricket World Cup championship for the fourth time, defeating India by 79 runs.

On Sunday, in the final at Willowmoore Park, Benoni, South Africa, Australia U19 defeated India U19 by 79 runs due to an unfortunate batting collapse, preventing India U19 from winning their sixth ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup championship.
This marks India’s third straight loss to an Australian side in a top-tier competition run by the ICC, following the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final and the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

In the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup, Australia won four titles in total; they also won three titles in 1988, 2002, and 2010. In their ninth final appearance, five-time champion India came in second place four times.

India, who had set a target of 254, was bowled out for 174 in 43.5 overs by off-break bowler Raf MacMillan and pacler Mahli Beardman, who took three wickets apiece for 15 and 43 runs, respectively. Callum Vidler took two wickets for 35 runs in 10 wickets. India lost their opening encounter in the tournament.
