Amidst turbulent weather conditions sweeping across the UAE, Sharjah has taken proactive measures by declaring distance learning for private schools and universities in the emirate on Monday, February 12.
The local emergency, crisis, and disaster management team issued the notice specifically for private educational institutions, prioritizing the safety of students and staff members.
Government schools have also been instructed to conduct mandatory distance learning sessions on Monday, aligning with the Ministry of Education’s directive for all federal higher education institutions across the UAE.
Furthermore, all competitions and sports activities organized by the Sharjah Sports Council have been canceled for Monday, further underscoring the commitment to safeguarding public safety.
This decision reflects the authorities’ dedication to ensuring the well-being of students, athletes, and the wider community, particularly in light of the unpredictable weather conditions.
The Sharjah authorities have reaffirmed their readiness to address any challenges arising from the weather, with continuous monitoring and implementation of measures to ensure the provision of essential services.
