The Honorable A team from the University of Exeter met with Dr Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the President of the University of Khorfakkan (UKF), the Ruler of Sharjah, and a member of the Supreme Council on Monday. At the University of Khorfakkan, Dr. Sheikh Sultan greeted the delegation, which was headed by Dr. Lisa Roberts, President of the University of Exeter.

During the meeting, the Emirate of Sharjah’s Ruler conveyed his gratitude for the University of Exeter’s solid scientific and educational partnerships with the Emirate of Sharjah.

The talks covered a wide range of subjects, including collaborative planning, curriculum, and the creation of specialized research centres and institutions in the field of marine sciences. In keeping with the emirate’s plan to support education and improve the educational process, the discussion also covered possible areas for partnership in the fields of teacher training and educational advancement.

The designs for the future Marine Research Centre, a joint venture with the University of Exeter, which aims to integrate state-of-the-art educational facilities with cutting-edge technologies in the maritime field, were presented to Sheikh Sultan.
