UAE: Big Ticket draw yields a Dh20 million grand prize for an Al Ain driver.

Al Ain private driver Munavar Fairoos struck it lucky just before the new year, taking home the Dh20 million big prize in the most recent Big Ticket Live drawing. Munavar and the thirty individuals who contributed to the ticket purchase will split the prize.

The devoted Big Ticket customer, who had previously lived in Abu Dhabi, claims to have been purchasing tickets every month for the previous five years and was taken aback to hear of his significant victory.

The Indian expat was unsure of his plans with the prizes when asked, saying, “I truly did not anticipate this to happen, therefore I’m not sure yet. I still find it shocking, therefore I’ll need to consider my options for a while. The grand prize will be divided equally among the thirty individuals who bought it together.

Ten fortunate winners of Saudi Arabian, Indian, Palestinian, and Lebanese nationalities were also named during the live draw on December 31 afternoon. These winners received cash prizes totaling Dh100,000.

Suthesh Kumar Kumaresan won Dh1 million and was designated the fourth weekly e-draw winner for the month of December on the same day. The inhabitant of Abu Dhabi, an engineer for Etihad Airways, claims that every time he makes a trip, he stops by the in-store counters at Abu Dhabi International Airport to purchase his tickets.
