Mazrouei, who encouraged parents to keep a closer eye on their children’s driving habits, reaffirmed that major infractions are not accepted and are subject to impoundment as well as fines of up to Dhs50,000 by Dubai Police.
Al Al Mazrouei reported that on Wednesday night after midnight, five cars were taken into custody by traffic enforcement. “The drivers were causing chaos, performing stunts, making noise, and disturbing residents in the Nad Al Sheba and Al Meydan Street areas,” “Their reckless driving and loud vehicles not only caused nuisance but also endangered the lives of road users,” according to him.
Al Mazrouei said that according to federal traffic law, there are financial penalties as well as varying lengths of time for the impoundment of violating vehicles.
He cautioned that stringent measures had been taken to spotlight these wrongdoings in the past.
Al Mazrouei issued a warning against creating havoc and disturbances on the roadways, emphasizing that doing so is illegal and is punishable by jail time, vehicle impoundment, and other legal measures. He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to deterring such risky behavior.
Al Mazrouei urged the public to report unsafe driving practices and infractions using the “Police Eye” feature on the Dubai Police app or by calling the “We Are All Police” service at 901. He also wished for the safety and security of all drivers.
