King Charles of Britain will meet students and the president of the UAE

During his visit to COP28, Britain’s King Charles will meet with female climate leaders and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, to learn about the hazards that climate change poses to women and girls.

The British royal family revealed the itinerary, stating that the monarch will attend the opening ceremony and visit Dubai from November 30 to December 1.

From November 30 to December 12, at Expo City Dubai, the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) will hold its 28th session.

“The king will have the opportunity to meet regional leaders, to support the UK’s efforts to promote peace in the region, and to demonstrate His Majesty’s strong interest in bringing together people from different faiths and backgrounds,” said the royal family.

He will be present at the inaugural COP28 Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum kickoff reception on Thursday along with Sheikh Mohamed. Global heads of state and government, CEOs of businesses, philanthropists, and leaders of non-governmental organizations will be present at the reception, which is being hosted by the COP28 Presidency in strategic collaboration with the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI).
