Traffic alert for Dubai Run this weekend: RTA announces road restrictions.

The Dubai Run is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 26. The emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) released a traffic alert plan for the massive event on Friday. Sheikh Zayed Road will be transformed into an enormous running track for the event.

It is recommended that those using the Metro maintain at least Dh15 on their Nol cards.

Other important roads in Dubai, including Sheikh Zayed Road, would also be off-limits to motorists, according to the government.

As to the RTA, individuals who are using public transportation are recommended to have at least Dh15 on their Nol cards for a return trip.

The culmination of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge will be the Dubai Run, dubbed the largest free fun run in the world. Dubai Run broke its own attendance record last year with 193,000 runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair users. This made it the world’s largest community fitness event.
