Development Authority’s report on the growing demand for natural places for tourism and leisure in Sharjah’s cities and districts was examined by the Council.

The Council called on visitors to natural places to protect the environment and its natural resources, ensuring their sustainability for future generations, and expressed appreciation for the efforts made by government agencies to promote eco-tourism.

The Council examined a study on singles’ housing in residential neighborhoods in the cities and areas of the Emirate of Sharjah. The research included the social, economic, and security implications of singles’ housing as well as the current state of the laws governing neighborhood housing.

The Council ordered that restrictions on single persons residing in residential neighborhoods be tightened while they worked to draft contemporary law that would keep up with the evolving landscape of housing options.
