We recently had the opportunity to interview Ioannis Antypas, a key figure in the ambitious venture Golden Shield, a premier cybersecurity enterprise in Saudi Arabia. Early Life And Education
We started the interview by asking, “Tell us something about you, your early life, and your education.”
He shared, “I was fifteen, when I migrated to London, and continued high school at the Greek Secondary School of London. Later, I enrolled at Uxbridge College, where I acquired triple distinction stars in Information & Creative Technology and Cybercrime & Security. And then proceeded to pursue my bachelor’s degree in information technology management for Business at the University of West London”
He continued, “Since childhood, I have been inclined towards working and contributing financially to my family as well as being independent. I began working when I was eight years old, doing odd jobs such as selling water bottles and sweets in school. I would buy bicycles from the scrap yard, refurbish, and sell them. When I was 15 years old, I began publishing mobile gaming apps under Minatrox, and two years later also started importing & exporting.”

My decision to relocate from London to Saudi Arabia to ensure the successful launch and growth of Golden Shield proved to be a strong point.”

He shared, “This past year has been foundational growth for Golden Shield. As a cybersecurity startup, we have focused on establishing our presence in Saudi Arabia, creating meaningful relationships with our clients, and developing an array of cybersecurity services tailored to the market’s needs.
We’ve faced the usual challenges of a startup – building a solid team, developing our offerings, and carving our niche within the competitive cybersecurity landscape. Yet, these challenges have only strengthened our resolve and fueled our progress.
