FBI Director Claims that Trump's Assailant Searched the Internet for Information About the Kennedy Assassination

One week prior to the shooting, the gunman in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is thought to have searched Google for “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” Christopher Wray, Director of the FBI, stated on Wednesday. Showing fresh information on a suspect who, according to him, had a strong interest in public figures but had otherwise left no apparent signs of an ideological motivation.

The July 6 internet search, found on a laptop connected to 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin who assassinated President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, in Dallas from a sniper’s perch.

That search is essential in light of his mental state. Wray informed the House Judiciary Committee, “That appears to be the same day that he registered” for the Trump rally set for July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Months before the presidential election, the investigation threw the bureau into a political whirlwind as the public and lawmakers demanded answers regarding Crooks’ possible motivations for carrying out the most severe assassination attempt on a president or presidential candidate since President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.

The organization has thoroughly recorded Crooks’ travels and online activities. However, Wray stated that why Trump, the Republican nominee for president, was singled out is still unknown. According to Wray, many of the standard information sources have produced nothing noteworthy regarding ideology or motivation.
