As part of His Majesty’s state visit to the United Arab Emirates, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and leader of the honorary mission welcoming the foreign guest, His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, joined His Majesty.
During the tour, His Majesty the Sultan of Oman and the team he was traveling with paid homage at the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s grave. They reminisced about his wisdom and invaluable legacy in fostering intercultural communication, understanding, and cohabitation.
Dr. Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, joined His Majesty and the delegation and gave a briefing on the mosque’s Islamic designs and distinctive architecture, its special collections, and its significant role in fostering an open and peaceful culture that is inspired by the late Sheikh Zayed’s values.
The visiting group also gained knowledge of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center’s important work promoting Islamic culture and fostering mutual tolerance amongst diverse global cultures. A team accompanying His Majesty’s visit to the United Arab Emirates was among the high-ranking officials who accompanied Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq during his visit.
