Residents of the UAE are roused by the constant rumbling of thunder and the flashing of lightning in the sky as intense rainstorms lash the nation late on Monday night and early on Tuesday morning.
Due to an extension of a “low surface pressure” and two waves of unstable weather expected to travel over the nation on Tuesday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that unseasonably warm weather will persist throughout the UAE from Monday through Wednesday.
Due to water accumulation from the heavy rains that started on Tuesday morning, a police car is blocking the road in Al Majaz, Sharjah, near Al Khan Junctions. Tuesday, around noon, the rain persisted, so the police issued a warning asking drivers to be cautious and drive carefully when it rained.
Asim M, a Sharjah resident, told KT reporter Nandini Sircar he was relieved and stated, “Today, I commuted from Al Nahda Sharjah to my workplace in Dubai. I arrived at the workplace earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given the light traffic. Because of the traffic, the trip usually takes an hour, but today I arrived in thirty minutes. Because most businesses had adopted work-from-home practices and all schools had implemented remote learning, the roadways were remarkably clear despite the waterlogging.
