The Advent Of Maria’s Journey
We started the interview by asking, “Could you start by telling us about your professional career path?”
Maria Antonela Axinte shared, “I’d like to start by taking a step back into my early years of development, as I believe they have played a crucial role in shaping who I am today and influencing my career path as a Genetic Counselor.
Growing up, my curiosity about living organisms led to a deep interest in biology and genetics, ultimately leading to a career in genetics. Family values, including compassion and empathy, have also shaped my career choice. A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy paved the way for a transformative journey in health and wellness. Over the past decade, my expertise expanded to nutrition, kinesiology, and biohacking. My professional development and passion for helping others in achieving optimal health have deepened.”
She added, “As I progressed through my education and training, I realized that genetic counseling was the perfect blend of my interests in genetics and my desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives. The ability to provide support, guidance, and information to individuals and families facing genetic conditions is incredibly rewarding, and it is a privilege to be able to help them navigate through challenging times.
Looking back, I am grateful for the experiences and influences that have shaped my career. They have not only helped me become a better genetic counselor but also a more empathetic and understanding individual.”

Navigating cultural and regulatory differences while working across the Middle East region and Europe was another significant hurdle. This experience taught me to be adaptable, open-minded, and culturally sensitive, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusivity in leadership.”
Maria Antonela Axinte added, “These challenges have shaped my leadership philosophy, emphasizing resilience, adaptability, and continuous learning. I believe in leading by example and fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and empowerment.

Our services encompass a wide range of offerings, including Health Risk Assessment, Cancer Risk Evaluation, Reproductive Planning, Carrier Screening, Pharmacogenomic Guidance, Weight and Nutrition Optimization, Athletic Performance Optimization, Rare Disease Diagnostic, Epigenetic Exploration, and Gut Microbiome analysis. Once the genetic test is processed by one of our selected laboratories, a second genetic counseling session is scheduled.
Here, the customer receives an explanation of their genomic information and a personalized plan, which may include lifestyle changes and referrals to specialists like functional medicine practitioners, nutritionists, and cardiologists. In the future, we aim to establish partnerships with healthcare providers, clinics, and wellness organizations to create a network of healthcare professionals who recommend DNA Longevity’s services, further expanding our reach and impact.” She concluded.
