The Dubai Police will use more than 400 patrol cars to monitor public safety over the Eid Al Fitr festivities.
The assistant commander-in-chief for operational affairs, Maj Gen Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, declared on Friday that all preparations had been finished. He listed 429 security patrol cars, 62 civil defense vehicles, 34 marine security boats, 135 ambulances, 10 maritime rescue boats, 51 bicycle patrols prepared, five responder vehicles, and two helicopters ready for deployment.
The Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police are working together to guarantee that public transportation is available. According to the authorities, 1,150 public transportation buses, 12,632 taxis, 13,912 limos, 57 maritime transport vehicles, and 107 trains for the Dubai Metro and Tram.
Dubai Police urged drivers to obey speed restrictions and all traffic laws to avoid accidents.
To ensure smooth traffic circulation across the city, there are seven control centers. The sites examined for choke points include open markets, commercial districts, tourist areas, mosques, and enormous prayer halls.
Dubai Police also urged parents and guardians to use caution and to constantly be aware of their children, as many locals and visitors are anticipated to visit various beaches and pool locations.
The chairman of the events security committee, Al Ghaithi, also urged parents not to let their kids play with fireworks on Eid. In the United Arab Emirates, stringent guidelines must be followed when igniting fireworks.
