UAE is one of the Top 10 Most Connected Nations in the World.

UAE is one of the Top 10 Most Connected Nations in the World.

In DHL’s Global Connectedness Report, the UAE jumped to eighth position among the world’s top ten most globalized nations. In addition, it has demonstrated the most improvement in performance since 2001, earning the top rank for increasing connectedness out of the 181 countries examined. This indicates a faster rate of both digital and physical connectivity, to enhance international trade and global supply chains.

As to the research, there is still a strong commercial, investment, immigration, and tourism connection between the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and the rest of the world. Mena ranks second in terms of trade, despite Europe leading in terms of trade and people flows, and North America leading in terms of capital and information flows. This is due to the significance of the oil trade, the growing influence of the Gulf countries in global trade networks, and the close ties that many North African nations have with Europe.

The results also imply that global flows are remarkably durable, expanding across longer distances and growing faster than domestic activity in the face of political unrest and global economic challenges. As a result, there are still plenty of opportunities for nations to engage in global trade.
