Emirati businessman Abdul Rahim Mohammed Belghozooz Al Zarooni donated Dhs150 million to establish an endowment medical complex. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), was present.
The donation is a component of the contract that MBRGI and Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni signed. The latter promised to build an endowment medical complex, with the earnings going toward MBRGI programs.
“MBRGI draws inspiration from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to extend all forms of support to underprivileged communities around the world and dedicate resources and expertise to alleviate the suffering of those most in need,” stated Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.
The decision to create an endowment medical complex and use its revenues to fund MBRGI programs and projects is part of the community’s overall response to these efforts.
