The Risks of Pulling Over in the Middle of the Road are Cautioned by Abu Dhabi Police.

In order to protect other road users’ safety, the Abu Dhabi Police’s Directorate General of Traffic and Patrols advised drivers to avoid stopping in the middle of the road for whatever reason and to instead proceed to the closest exit. The driver must instantly contact the Command and Control Center of the Operations Room phone number (999) to receive support to avoid serious accidents and traffic obstruction,” the police continued. “If the driver is unable to move the vehicle.”

The Director of the Directorate, Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, urged drivers to take certain crucial precautions in the event of an unexpected vehicle breakdown while driving. These precautions include avoiding the road altogether, using emergency parking areas, using the right shoulder only in the most dire circumstances, and using four-way warning signals.

Additionally, he emphasized how crucial it is to position the reflective emergency triangle far enough behind the disabled car to warn oncoming traffic. Drivers must immediately call the emergency phone to seek help and must avoid standing on the road or sitting in the broken-down vehicle.” He continued.
