As the spring holiday approaches in the UAE, schools, families, and teachers prepare for a two-week getaway. Principals emphasize that the final week before the break offers instructional opportunities for children. Most international curriculum schools in the UAE will begin their three-week vacation on March 25. Students will return to school on April 15 following the Eid holiday.
However, among the excitement, there are concerns about potential learning regression, particularly given this year’s extended vacation due to the forthcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays, which will most likely begin on April 10. Educators implement techniques to keep children engaged and learning throughout this extended holiday.
Because we have a considerably longer break this year, I’ve taken proactive steps to interact with parents via our newsletter, asking families to set aside some study time for their daughters to use our online study platforms and spend time reading. A little extra learning over the holidays should help to prevent any potential academic drop and enable a smooth return to school following the vacation.”
