570,113 people visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi in the first half of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
164,704 people participated in the prayers, 194,978 were visitors, and 210,431 attended the iftar gathering. 102,419 people offered the Isha and Taraweeh prayers at the same mosque.
In the meantime, 77,233 worshipers were registered at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah and 50,456 at the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain.
To meet the demands of many worshippers during the last ten days of Ramadan, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has dispersed its mobile information stations across its premises. These stations may assist with queries and provide directions to different areas.
To effectively manage the higher frequency of calls and queries, the center has also doubled the number of employees working on the switchboard.
During this time, the mosque has scheduled the Tahajjud night prayer at midnight and visiting hours, which end at 11.30 p.m. every day.
In addition, 580 volunteers have been recruited by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center to assist staff members, the Emirates Red Crescent, law enforcement, paramedics, and civil defense.
