3.67 Million People Spent the Night in Dubai in January–February of 2024

The Tourism Performance Report for January-February 2024 published by the DET states that 1.77 million foreign visitors visited Dubai in January and 1.9 million in February.

According to data issued by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), 3.67 million overnight guests visited Dubai in January–February 2024, a rise of more than 18% Year over Year.

With 773,000 tourists (21%) during the January–February 2024 period, Europe topped the list of visitor origins. With 604,000 visits (17%), South Asia ranked second, followed by the Gulf Cooperation Council nations with 549,000 (15%).

While 448,000 (12%) tourists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area ranked fifth, 530,000 (14%) tourists from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eastern Europe visited Dubai. In contrast, 340,000 tourists (or 9% of total visitors) came from North and Southeast Asia, 240,000 from the Americas, 138,000 from Africa, and 53,000 from Australia, or roughly 1% of all visitors) to Dubai.

In addition, the survey indicated that during the January–February 2023 period, 148,450 hotel rooms were available across 813 establishments; in the same period of 2024, 151,269 rooms were available across 826 establishments. After settling at 87% on average, the occupancy rate increased by 3%.
