Zelensky Reports that 31,000 Ukrainian Soldiers had Died Since Russia's Full-Scale Invasion.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that since Russia’s full-scale invasion started two years ago, some 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died.

The president of Ukraine declared that he would not reveal the number of casualties since doing so would enhance Russian military strategy.

Regarding the war’s broader casualties, the president of Ukraine stated that while the precise figure was unknown, tens of thousands of civilians had perished in the parts of his country that Russia had taken over. He said, “I don’t know how many of them died, how many were killed, how many were murdered, tortured, and how many were deported,” according to a British news network quote.

Zelensky’s count deviates significantly from estimates made by US authorities in August of last year, who estimated that 70,000 Ukrainian soldiers had died.

He stated that roughly 180,000 Russian soldiers had died, and tens of thousands had been injured.
