Due to the unstable weather that is now prevalent in the nation, there were isolated sections that experienced heavy rain, lightning, and thunder on Sunday. This weather is expected to persist through Wednesday.
Separate locations in Al Ain City, the Al Dhafra Region’s Habshan, Bu Hasa, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, and Liwa, as well as Al Saadiyat Island and Musaffah in Abu Dhabi, saw moderate to heavy rainfall, among other places.
At 4:00 a.m., Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature of 12.3 degrees Celsius, while Jebel Al Rahba recorded the second-lowest temperature of 13.6 at 3:45 a.m.
While Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to abide by the variable speed limit as indicated on the electronic traffic signs, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on drivers to exercise caution when driving in the rain and to avoid big puddles and flooded valleys.
The NCM predicted that on Monday and Tuesday, the air depression will develop, resulting in the formation of further cumulus clouds over various locations, rainfall of variable intensities, lightning, thunder, and probably hail in certain areas.
Wednesday will see a gradual decrease in clouds, although some locations, particularly the northern and eastern ones, will still have rain during the day. The temperature will also drop.
It stated that the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman would have moderate waves on Monday and Tuesday, but they might occasionally become severe and rough. On Wednesday, the sea would have moderate waves in both areas.
