UAE: Within the Mobile Command Centre That Facilitates Officers' Emergency Response in Less Than Six Minutes

Through a prompt response from its cutting-edge federal operations centre, the UAE’s Ministry of Interior has been guaranteeing the security and stability of community members come heavy rain, flood, significant multi-vehicle pile-up, or any other critical emergencies.

The ministry’s state-of-the-art mobile operations centre is operational around-the-clock, monitoring the nation for emergencies and coordinating with law enforcement to handle situations as needed.

Every one of the seven emirates has a mobile satellite-powered unit under the ministry’s control. The ministry’s response system for crises, disaster relief, and major international events is equipped with a mobile operations centre that can be moved around the nation.

The ministry closely monitors any minor emergency through its operations centre and proactively prepares a backup plan before it even gets to that serious stage. Because of these preparations, the ministry is always equipped to respond quickly to an emergency.

Three areas are allocated in the mobile operations centre: an initial monitoring area, a specialised space, a decision-making meeting room, and one seat specifically for IT personnel. All seven emirates’ police command centres provide data to the centre. Six enormous screens inside the centre display vital information on a changing situation along with real-time images of the emergency scenarios.
