UAE weather: Red, yellow alerts issued due to fog; authority warns motorists

KhaleejTimes

Residents should expect partly overcast skies today in the UAE weather as predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology, capping off their long weekend on a dreary note.

There may be convective cloud formation eastward by the afternoon, and low clouds will develop over some locations.

Due to fog, the NCM has issued red and yellow alerts in some areas of the nation, informing citizens that visibility will be reduced until 9 a.m. today.

Drivers have been advised by the Abu Dhabi Police to drive with decreased visibility. It is requested of drivers to drive carefully and to abide by the speed limits that are posted on electronic information boards.

Tuesday morning and into the evening will see an increase in humidity, with a chance of fog or mist forming over some interior locations.

There will be light to moderate breezes, with occasional strengthening.

In the UAE’s hilly regions, the lowest temperature is predicted to be 10°C, while the highest will be 31°C inside the nation.
