Social Media Capital

The UAE has recently been named as the “Social Media Capital of the World” due to the country’s high social media usage rates. This title was awarded based on the latest data from We Are Social and Hootsuite, which showed that the UAE has the highest social media penetration rate in the world.

According to the report, the average person in the UAE spends around 2 hours and 56 minutes per day on social media, which is significantly higher than the global average of 2 hours and 25 minutes. The report also revealed that the UAE has the highest mobile social media penetration rate in the world, with 99% of the population accessing social media through their mobile devices.

The popularity of social media in the UAE can be attributed to several factors, including the country’s high smartphone penetration rates, its young and tech-savvy population, and the government’s push towards digital transformation.

This title further reinforces the UAE’s position as a leading hub for innovation and technology in the region. As social media continues to play an increasingly important role in people’s lives, this recognition highlights the country’s ability to adapt and embrace new digital trends.
