The UAE, through its humanitarian arm Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, has continuously offered safe drinking water to displaced Palestinian families in the southern Gaza Strip.
The war-torn Strip’s damaged infrastructure made water assistance available to over 70,000 beneficiaries. The Water Authority and Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 volunteers prepared and distributed water tanks to displaced communities in southern Gaza.
With the obstacles and problems Gaza’s municipalities face, it is difficult for them to provide basic services to residents like water. These tanks are regularly filled to help displaced families have access to water, resulting in a humanitarian crisis.
During the first and second phases of the project, the UAE attempted to run six desalination plants and provide water to the displaced via supply lines in the governorates of Rafah and Khan Younis.
The largest relief operation in the Gaza Strip, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, provided essential projects that benefited thousands of displaced people, including installing tanks in various southern areas.
In addition, an estimated 116,000 litres of safe drinking water are filled into 13 tanks daily, and multiple vehicles are dispatched to areas where displaced families are located to provide them with access to water.
