UAE Ships Five Automated Bakeries to Gaza to Produce Bread for the Locals.

As part of the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian mission to support the Palestinian people, the United Arab Emirates had dispatched five automatic bakeries to the Egyptian city of Al Arish before they entered the Gaza Strip.

This project is a reaction to the current acute bread shortage in the Gaza Strip. When the UAE-supplied bakeries are fully operational, they will suffice to cover the daily demands of around 420,000 individuals.

Every bakery has an hourly output capacity of roughly 17,500 loaves. To keep the five bakeries running around-the-clock, the UAE will supply wheat, fuel, and other supplies. The UAE will also cover the salaries of those who run and oversee the bakeries in Gaza.

In a statement, Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, ERC Secretary-General, affirmed that the UAE will spare no effort to provide the necessary needs for the Palestinians and to reduce the suffering of those affected by the events in Gaza.
