UAE residents spend more than Dh25,000 watching fireworks from a yacht on New Year's Eve.

In the UAE, revelers prepare to celebrate the new year in style. To see the fireworks, partygoers are willing to pay up to Dh25,000 for a two- to six-hour picturesque boat ride across the waterways of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah.

Operators of the nation’s yacht charter fleet indicate that, as the year’s final week approaches, they have noticed a discernible increase in reservations.

Yachts are in high demand because they provide seclusion and breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and the city skyline, especially during Dubai’s renowned New Year’s celebrations. These are popular with residents and visitors, exhibiting Dubai’s opulent way of life.

According to Simon Wickham, Managing Director of Sky Walker Yachts, there has been a significant surge in inquiries in Dubai within the past seven days. On a typical day, renting a yacht in Dubai would cost,000. Thus, Dh6,000 would be paid for five or six hours of work. However, because New Year’s Eve is such a unique occasion, charter packages begin at 8 p.m. and passengers usually return at 1 or 2 a.m., start at Dh25,000.
